ABSTRACT
Moses (1963) proposed a distribution-free variability test for the two-sample case. The test is robust and does not require estimating the location parameters for both samples or the difference between the location parameters. A disadvantage of Moses´s test is that it makes use of only about half of the data, which results in a low power performance when the sizes for both samples are small. A modified test is proposed to make use of all data to compute the test statistic. Simulation results will be presented.
